Pumpkin Spice Hair. It's a thing!

As a hair stylist,  I see a lot of beauty trends come and go.  Sometimes it's actually something new, but a lot of times it's just renaming  something that already exists.  Like... Pumpkin Spice as a hair color trend.  It's a thing for those who have avoided already knowing this! But hey, I will jump on that.. for one reason. I love taking people red.  Coppers, reds, strawberry blonde.. I love it. So naturally, I fully support this movement that elevates the longtime trend of warming up your hair color in fall.  Maybe I should really thank Starbucks and Pinterest, because in the past most people don't have the cajones needed to go full red when fall time boots and layers come out of hiding. It's finally being taken it to the next level in a more mainstream way(perhaps..) LET ME TAKE YOU RED.  A nice, natural red, like you were born with it.
Read more to see if you may be a good fit for going pumpkin spice.
This first awesome photo is a great red conversion from a few years back.  Thanks, Jona for trusting fully in me! Pumpkin Spice OG right here.

So, considering red?  For one, I actually do prefer to say copper, because that's really what you are seeing when you are talking about a "natural" red shade. Natural redheads are  warm and coppery- even golden. (Real)Natural redheads have the most fascinating heads of hair as well..  In one parting of hair you will see strands of different coppers, golds, and blondes.  Feria eat your heart out. It's gorgeous, and perhaps that's why I love it so much.  Or perhaps because it's rare.  Or perhaps.. because I have natural redheads in my family.  Check out my gorgeous sister below.

And I too have spent a few years rocking red.  It's one of my favorites for myself, I just get tired of the maintenance after a year or two.

So, into the what to expect.
-Root touches every 4-6 weeks.  You will not want to go longer.  It's all good though.  Get a good, fun stylist, and it's like chillin with a friend, and you get to leave looking fantastic.
-Use a good protective shampoo..
-Natural reds work best on a neutral skintone.
- If you are a swimmer, in the sun a lot, or have porous(damaged) hair, you will want a color depositing shampoo and/or conditioner.

Really not too bad!
Here is me as a redhead.. : )
